OUTREACH

GLOBAL YOUTH DAY – A worldwide outreach event that takes place each year in March. Adventist Youth and their friends are encouraged to spend Global Youth Day outside of the church walls doing acts of kindness and community service as well as outreach. Under the theme “Be The Sermon” thousands of youth around the world hit the streets and connect via social media.

COMPASSION MINISTRY – Compassion is preaching with our actions, because actions speak louder than words. It is the new lifestyle of a generation of Adventist youth and young adults who have the same priorities of Jesus and want to live a life filled with His love and kindness for humanity and all creation.

ADVENTIST YES (YOUNG ADULT EMERGENCY SERVICES CORPS  – Youth Empowered to Serve (YES!) is a ministry that engages and networks youth and young adults in Service Ministries (Ministries of Compassion) for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America.  YES! is fundamentally rooted in the mission statement of ACS: “Serving communities in Christ’s name”

DO FAST – TO DEFEND ORPHANS –  The 24-hours do fast is second Sabbath in November, during which the young people can participate through their schools, churches, sport/youth groups, and other social, faith, and business communities to raise awareness and funds in the fight to end child starvation and hunger-related disease and poverty. It is an opportunity to draw closer to God and one another as youth unite to accomplish His work and influence others to join. Suggested activities are included in the do fast participation “tool kits” designed for specific age groups. During the entire month of October, known as World Hunger Action Month, Restore a Child invites all education and religious institutions to host daily activities and events to build compassionate action into every person’s daily life and thinking. Six million children die every year because of hunger and starvation. Build the character traits which God promised will develop through our active involvement in helping children who, without our help, will die. Join this global fast in solidarity with starving and hungry people, especially children whom God entrusted to our care.
